 Maternal Response was originally established by Sue Mackender. It quickly became apparent that the need for well qualified and well sourced Maternity Nurses was rife and Sue built up a wonderful group of those Nurses available all over the UK to meet the needs of families both here and abroad. Tanya joined Sue in 2006 to assist in running the ever expanding company and providing the services which were provided and then took over from Sue when she took retirement in 2007 to spend more time with her three Grandchildren (although still remains a consultant to Maternal Response). In 2007 Tanya asked her good friend Pipa to come on board with her to update the brand image, broaden the services and be the other side of the relationship that Tanya was for Sue in the early days. Tanya had been a babysitter for Pipa’s children and it was clear they shared the same values and ideals for the nurturing and caring of little people and so Tanya wanted her advice and experience from a mother’s perspective on board!
